Point Pleasant, W.Va. (October 9, 2014) – On Thursday, October 9th at the Trinity Christian Community Center in Point Pleasant, WV, Fruth Pharmacy held its 24th Annual Service Awards.
Nominees are submitted to Fruth Pharmacy by the employee’s superiors, co-workers, and customers. Employees and customers are encouraged to nominate and vote through an online process. Out of nearly 700 employees, only 13 are chosen for special honors. Being a nominee is an extreme honor.
Awards are given each year in the following categories: Manager of The Year, Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Technician of the Year, and Associate of the Year. This year a new honor was introduced – “The Jack E. Fruth Lifetime Achievement Award.” Employees are also awarded for their years of service to Fruth: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, & 30 year employees are recognized at this time.
Nominees for Pharmacy Technician of the Year include: Nancy Kearns, Pomeroy, OH, Becki Woodard, Mineral Wells, WV, and Linda Webster, Spencer, WV. Becki Woodard was awarded 2014 Pharmacy Technician of the Year.
Lynne Fruth, President of Fruth Pharmacy, in a corporate wide e-mail stated, “Technician of the Year Becki Woodard, ‘does it all’, as lead tech, managing many aspects of the day to day operations. Becki manages Medicare billing, handles all orders and ensures that all staff is properly trained and updated on new procedures. Becki is always first to jump in when things need to be done.”
“Apart from fulfilling all of the responsibilities inherent in her job, Becki is our Medicare coordinator – she drives us all a little crazy with the Medicare Billing requirements, but that’s ok – because that’s what it takes to dot the I’s and cross the T’s,” an anonymous nomination read.
