Brandon Moore Places Third In the State Social Studies Fair With Project Featuring Fruth Pharmacy
Brandon Moore, son of William “Buckie” and Shelia Moore, of Henderson, WV chose to explore the history and development of Fruth Pharmacy as a local business for his 2011 Social Studies Fair project. Brandon got the idea after visiting the Fruth Pharmacy website and becoming interested in the history of Fruth Pharmacy and the life and contributions of Jack Fruth to the state and local community. Brandon, a Point Pleasant High School student, contacted Fruth Pharmacy and worked closely with Lynne Fruth and Sandy Keefer to obtain the information to prepare his project. Brandon conducted interviews and visited the company’s corporate office to gather information and samples for his project. Brandon received a First Place award at the County level and moved on to the Regional level where he also won First Place. Brandon then advanced to the State Competition where he placed Third in the Division III State and Local Studies Category. Fruth Pharmacy extends a huge Congratulations to Brandon Moore for his success.
