Fruth Pharmacy 58th Anniversary
It’s Great to Be “58”
Fruth Pharmacy celebrated 58 years of business in November 2010. Fruth Pharmacy was founded in Point Pleasant, WV in 1952 by the late Jack E. Fruth. The family owned and operated chain of drug stores has grown over the years to include 25 stores. Each November, Fruth Pharmacy throws a party to show appreciation for all the loyal and wonderful customers who have made their success possible.
This celebration began with a sale with an Anniversary Theme with many items being sold at the price of the year of celebration. This year’s sale featured many items for only 58 cents. In addition to the many great coupon items, customers were registered each day for drawings held at every store. Each Fruth location held a drawing each day for a WVU, Marshall or Ohio State jacket each day. In all over 300 jackets were given away to lucky customers and all were entered into the drawing for the grand prizes.
The Grand Prize was a Remington combination Gun Safe and was won by Mason Finley. He registered at the Rt. 29/Roby Rd Huntington, WV. store. First Prize winners were each awarded a 32” flat screen HDTV set. The winners of the TV sets were: Bulah Rogers of Point Pleasant, WV who registered in Point Pleasant, Jan Johnson of Mason, WV who registered at Pomeroy, OH, and Wenda Hunt of Vinton who registered at Wellston and Gallipolis, OH.
Following the Anniversary Sale, Fruth Pharmacy followed an annual tradition of giving away a turkey each day for the week before Thanksgiving. A total of 168 turkeys were awarded to customers in our annual give away. All of these events were just our way of saying THANK YOU to our customers, and it’s GREAT to BE 58!
