Fruth Pharmacy Appoints Tim Weber Vice President
Point Pleasant, W. Va. (December 4, 2013) – On November 22, 2013, Fruth Pharmacy’s Board of Directors announced during the Fruth Annual Shareholders meeting Tim Weber’s promotion from Director of Pharmacy Administration and Procurement to Vice President. In this role, Tim will lead the Pharmacy Division.
Weber holds a BS in Pharmacy from Rutgers University in Piscataway, NJ.
Weber has held previous pharmacy positions with Eckerd Drug Company and Sears Holdings/Kmart Corporation.
During his three years at Fruth Pharmacy, Weber has helped implement many changes.
“One of our best successes to date is our migration from legacy PDX to a workflow orientated Enterprise Pharmacy System,” Weber began. “This system enables Fruth to optimize the filling process and gives our pharmacy teams more functionality within the daily workflow to better serve our patients. Fruth has been able to advance our clinical services to our patients, due to this improvement, by integrating Medication Therapy Management into the pharmacy workflow. This provides the pharmacist with the information they need to impact patient outcomes.”
When asked why he chose to work for Fruth Pharmacy, Weber responded, “The Fruth Family truly cares about each one of their customers and employees. Fruth has many opportunities to be a leader in how pharmacy is practiced in this market. Our company size allows us to be nimble and change quicker than some of our larger competitors. We truly tailor our offerings to best match our patients’ needs.”
Lynne Fruth, President and Chairman of the Board for Fruth Pharmacy stated that Weber’s promotion was well deserved.
“The Board wanted to recognize Tim’s contributions to the Fruth Company by offering him this promotion. We are pleased he accepted and look forward to his future accomplishments.”
Weber plans on continuing to focus on moving Fruth Pharmacy forward. Weber would like to see Fruth transition from being a mainly dispensing pharmacy chain, to a more complete pharmacy chain with a highly efficient dispensing process, that also offers consistent, innovative, and effective clinical service programs to better improve patient healthcare outcomes.
Weber currently resides in Scott Depot, West Virginia with his wife Ann Sun, and their 7-year old son George.
