Fruth Pharmacy in Ripley, WV Raises Funds for Cancer Patients
On September 29th, store 19 in Ripley, WV held a community fundraiser for Granville (William) Whited, Brandon Martin, and Mickey Gump. All three men are currently battling cancer. Store 19 collected over $2,200.00 to help the men with medical and other needed expenses at this time.
Manager Pam Durbin wishes to thank all the employees that made this event possible. “Words cannot express how much they did,” Pam said. “A big thank you to all my employees for the hard work they did getting things ready. Our event was a great success due to all the great employees we have working at 19.”
Employees coming in on their day off to help out include: Kelly Miller, Tonia Martin, Rita Cunningham, Dawn Adams, and Cathy Patterson. Previous employee Janet Casto also came out to help and Chandra Eplin, (daughter of Monica Mullins).
Set-up and tear-down were completed by: Sandra Best, and Kenny and Judy Whited.
Tina DeRito made the baked goods for the bake sale.
Pharmacist Zack and Jordan Tennant made many donations and helped in getting the bouncy house with the slide for the kids’ entertainment.
Jo Lee Martin donated the bouncy house with slide for the event.
The local fire department loaned tables for the event.
