Fruth Pharmacy’s Store 12 Raises Funds for St. Jude’s
On September 28th, Fruth Pharmacy on US Route 60 E in Huntington, WV, held a fundraiser to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Taking on the theme of a carnival, customers were able to participate in a cake walk, bake sale, corn hole throw, face painting, and more. Hot dogs with chips and drinks were also sold to raise funds.
A gas grill was donated by Home Depot for a drawing. Other businesses and persons donated gift cards and many items for the drawing.
A large crowd turned out for the event. Both employees and customers volunteered to help organize and manage the event from start-up to tear-down.
Over 650 dollars was collected for St. Jude.
This event would not have been possible without the help from associates, volunteers, and corporate staff.
Manager Jessie Lazaro stated, “I want to thank Mary Kolovich for making the contact, getting the necessary letters and paperwork together to get the ball rolling. I want to especially thank Pam Henderson who worked tirelessly to get donations from restaurants and vendors. She was the one that acquired the gas grill from Home Depot. Thanks to Lynne for putting the event on the IVR. Also, thanks to Sandy Keefer for the hot dog sauce and making sure we had the tent, wheel, and popcorn machine and supplies. Thanks to Melanie for creating a nice flyer for us. And, lastly, thanks to Pam’s daughters Tiffany and Trish and pharmacy cashier Kathy Saunders for their help.”
