Point Pleasant, W. Va. (February 10, 2014) – Fruth Pharmacy would like to announce the Pharmacists of the Year for 2013.
Special ‘Employee of the Year’ awards are given in four categories each year to Fruth Pharmacy employees: Technician of the Year, Manager of the Year, Pharmacist of the Year, and Associate of the Year. Employees were nominated by their peers and customers.
Lynne Fruth explained Fruth Pharmacy’s annual service awards, “We celebrate the loyalty of employees who have reached a landmark year in their career. We also recognize those who made a significant contribution to the success of the company and those whose kindness and compassion have made difficult days a little easier for our customers.”
Jeff Haffner and John Mourat, both pharmacists at Fruth Pharmacy in Mineral Wells, W. Va were nominated and later awarded Pharmacist of the Year for 2013. Mr. Haffner and Mr. Mourat were two of 12 nominees for this year’s awards. This was the first time that there was a “tie” in votes for Pharmacist of the Year, and the situation was made more unique by both pharmacists working at the same location.
The following are excerpts from two customer nominations for Haffner and Mourat.
“…Jeff and John do a great job at answering any questions that I have and help give me what I need. They help keep me straight! They are a great team.”
“We have three children with significant special needs, and we drive 20 minutes out of our way to get our prescriptions at their pharmacy. The pharmacists are always willing to answer questions; they talk with our children’s doctors in Columbus and Pittsburgh and compound medications to specifically meet their unique needs. They try to work with our insurance to get uncommon medication that our children need covered. If they don’t have a prescription in stock, they will call other pharmacies to try and locate it. Most importantly they treat our children with the care and respect they deserve. They go more than the extra mile for us. Jeff and John both deserve this award.”
“It’s a great honor to share this award with Jeff. We have a good team,” Mourat commented during his acceptance speech at the awards.
Mourat has served Fruth Pharmacy for over 24 years and Haffner has served for over 18 years.
