Tim Halfhill, in Point Pleasant, Nominated for Manager of the Year

Point Pleasant, W.Va. (October 9, 2014) – On Thursday, October 9th at the Trinity Christian Community Center in Point Pleasant, WV, Fruth Pharmacy held its 24th Annual Service Awards.

Nominees are submitted to Fruth Pharmacy by the employee’s superiors, co-workers, customers, and more. Employees and customers are encouraged to nominate and vote through an online process. Out of nearly 700 employees, only 13 are chosen for special honors. Being a nominee is an extreme honor.

Awards are given each year in the following categories: Manager of The Year, Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Technician of the Year, and Associate of the Year. This year a new honor was introduced – “The Jack E. Fruth Lifetime Achievement Award.” Employees are also awarded for their years of service to Fruth: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, & 30 year employees are recognized at this time.

Nominees for Manager of the Year include: Tim Halfhill, Manager of Fruth Pharmacy in Point Pleasant, Denise Hatfield, Manager of Fruth Pharmacy on Oakwood Road in Charleston, and John Williams, Manager of Fruth Pharmacy in Gallipolis on Second Ave. Denise Hatfield was awarded 2014 Manager of the Year.

Halfhill was recognized for his excellent ability to train and help employees move up through Fruth Pharmacy. His ability to train has led to promotions for several of his employees. He has increased sales at every store where he has managed.
